Install the script tag

Formo Support installs with a single script tag. There is no import file and no separate automation host.

Copy the snippet#

1. Sign in at /app.
2. Open Setup.
3. If you have no site yet, enter a site name and the domains that will load the widget (for example www.yourstore.com and yourstore.com).
4. Click Copy on the script box. The tag looks like:

data-formo-site is public. Authorisation is the allowed domains list, not secrecy of the id.

Paste it#

Use the platform click-paths. In every case the script should load on pages where chat should appear, typically just before </body>.

Confirm Connected#

1. Open a live page on an allowed domain (or a published preview that uses that host).
2. Wait up to 60 seconds.
3. On Setup, the install step shows Connected once the widget first phones home (firstSeenAt).

If it stays on Not detected yet:

• The page host is not in allowed domains (include www if you use it).
• The script is inside a tag manager that has not fired.
• You are viewing an unpublished theme preview on a host Formo does not allow.

What visitors see at this point#

Until you add an AI key and write policies, the widget can still open. Replies stay in Dry Run by default: visitors see your dry-run notice, not a generated answer. Full drafts appear in Activity.
